One of the few NATO-rians with ‘married’ status, Fei Fei cuts a motherly figure. From preparing home-cooked meals, to baking cookies and making chrysanthemum tea, she’s one handy Quarter Master to have in the house to feed hungry NATO-rians. A perfect example would be the trip to Langkawi, where thanks to her, we had cookies to nibble on along the way…

A tad on the romantic side, Fei Fei values tips on relationships and even does her research well (read: Women are from Venus, Men are from Mars…). Together with her fellow (female) NATO-rians, pillow talks are part and parcel of life in SS15… On a similar note, Peter is also a swell guy who, unfortunately, is not a member of NATO (any votes for automatic membership for spouses? :p)…

Having been through a traumatic snatch theft right here in Subang in Sem 1 itself, Fei Fei is all the more seasoned now. Nevertheless, she welcomes any support via a visit to the website ‘flyindance.myminicity.com/xml’ (hope I got that right)…

Profile #7: Abigail

Full name: Abigail Soh Lee Yen
Position: Honorary Member
Major: Marketing
Hometown: Damansara, Selangor
Birth date: 8 May 1988
Zodiac Sign: Taurus

Another city girl, Abigail is comfortably in sync with college life. Her nonchalant expressions project a picture of coolness; however, Abigail is in fact a passionate member of NATO, rarely snubbing the major activities of the club. Be it the visit to the Eye on Malaysia, Langkawi, working at a warehouse, the (failed) trip to Genting or Official Launches, Abigail is always reliably present.

Even though the group has somehow chosen Mandarin as one of their main languages, Abigail is no stranger – and can often join in with a well-placed sentence or two. As for assignments, her timing seems to oftentimes be similar to that of the (procrastinating) Sec Gen (sorry, couldn’t help it! :p)…

Tall and slender, Abigail is also among the hot ones of the group. Always dressed conspicuously, Abigail adds a touch of style to the group. She has a somewhat unique preference for footwear though, often turning up at lectures wearing beach slippers (at least during sem 1… haha…)…

NATO was in full force on Friday, lending out tremendous support to the Accounting Club's CPA Australia Student Charter Launch, which signals our intentions of taking over the club next semester. Hehe..

NATO's President was given the honour of being the photographer for the event, and although his phototaking skills are only average, Vice- President's Tan Yixuan's 10.1 Megapixel Camera makes it all look pretty fine.

The Power of NATO!

NATO power was demonstrated admirably today. With 3 top NATO-rians involved in the organising committee, the Official Launch of Taylor's CPA Australia Student Charter was further complemented by the presence of supportive NATO-rians - who turned up in (almost) full force, even braving the wrath of a certain Ms Thama ... haha!

For NATO-rians eager to contest higher ranks, valuable 'attendance marks' were earned today - major events provide major popularity points! Some NATO-rians even had the opportunity to brush shoulders with top officials of CPA Australia, thus boosting their chances of appearing in Taylor's next newsletter...

Special Announcement: Free Lunch on Friday!

Dear NATO-rians, since (almost) half of us are members of the accounting club, all of us are therefore invited to attend a special event this coming Friday: an official launching ceremony attended by CPA Australia. A note to everyone: the 1st 20 of us will recieve mystery gifts! Lets us NATO-rians monopolize all the gifts we can!

Profile #6: Yi Qian

Full name: Tan Yi Qian
Position: Assistant Treasurer
Major: Commerce (Professional)
Hometown: Klang, Selangor
Birth Date: 10 November 1988
Zodiac Sign: Scorpio

Brought up in a demanding family, Yi Qian strives to do her best in everything. She gets even more exhilarated at the prospect of indulging in accounting assignments and tutorial work. NATO thus benefits from the services of a (almost) full-fledged accountant, who makes sure that NATO will not be short-changed in any of its endeavours.

With a wardrobe as large as your entire home, Yi Qian turns up at college with a fresh outlook everyday. Even her nails vary in colour from time to time. Also, not forgetting her straight, silky hair, which might just land her a role in the next Head & Shoulders advertisement… One word of warning about Yi Qian though: beware of her calculator-punching when it comes to exam-type situations!
